.....is not so frightful...

I just have this Christmas song stuck in my head already!!!! Every store, every radio station, commercials on every channel...it's clearly Christmas time!!!!!!!!!!

So....with the holiday coming I bought myself (and A) a gift! New bumgenius 4.0 diapers from Diaper Junction!!!!! Yup!!! We have started our cloth diapering!!!!! :)

Dave thinks I'm nuts...but I am happy and excited! Any tips for me? I heard they get stinky and to use baking soda? Line dry? AHHH!!! Help a new cder out!!!!!

Featured blogger???? Who...ME??

Naomi from Got Na-Mi Art?  has asked me to write a post so she can preview me on her page! What a sweetheart she is {and very super patient...I've been a bitttt of a slaker...orrr a lot of one! With the baby, the wedding & bridezilla, and hand surgery I thought she'd say forgetttaaaabout it....but she didn't!!}


So more about me...

If you haven't guessed by my blog name...I am a new mom/ was just recently pregnant....

I am 25 years old, 3 years married to Dave...almost 7 years together...a brand new mom...who breastfeeds, pumps, wears my baby, and is really contemplating cloth diapers.

I have my Bachelors Degree in English, Education & History. I am on a break from law-school where I would be a 2L (2nd year)...contemplating if I'm ever going to go back...or if I will go onto teaching and getting my Masters Degree.

I am a miscarriage survivor who has lost two separate pregnancies...and since the first loss I developed anxiety and depression which I have survived {I'm doing really well}!

I am never sure of myself, I have my doubts everyday whether or not I am doing a good job as a wife and as a mother but I know somehow I'll do a great job!


LOVES:
I loveeeeeeeeeeeee being a mom. Our baby girl is my EVERYTHING! I could just sit and watch her for hours (and I do).  I love yoga pants (but have no patience for yoga...bring on the zumba), love trashy television, loveeeeeee nice purses/bags, love my uggs, love to ski, loveeeee to fish, love to read {at least one book per week...so I love my kindle}, love swimming/teaching swim, love hiking & camping.


HATES:
I hate stinky dogs (we wash ours once a week after they go to daycare on Saturdays to play), hate rude people, hate when someone drives under the speed limit, hate when you can't find your receipt and need to return something, and hateeeeee when I have to wear a bag over my arm to shower!!!

The day of my surgery...


I am not "freaked" out by surgery...I am over my fear of needles...and I am not stressed about breastfeeding because I can still do it (as SOON as I wake up!) I am just nervous about afterward. My mom will be staying here to help me take care of A...and the dogs...and me! I just hope that I will be okay...and the pain wont be all that bad!

a THANK YOU & Some Updates!!

• So my fussy baby was just having a rough night. I rubbed her belly...and she had a POOP explosion...thank gosh! It must have been something I ate and something that did not work well with her stomach. But thank you all for your advice via comments or emails! :)
• I had my 6 week check-up..and things look great...so now we have to figure out what to do.  Try for another baby? Wait? Not try again? BC? IUD?  We don't know what we want.  Some days we want to try for another baby right away...others, we are too nervous and just talk about continuing our adoption papers that we already started.  We are afraid that bad things will happen again.  And I am so over being baby crazy.  I need some time with just Arabella.  But who knows how long it could take us to get pregnant again.  I know I sound crazy...but this is what I am constantly thinking about.
• She has been more awake lately! I love it! She is alert and she is picking up her head and holding her neck more! 
• I have about 40oz stored for breast-milk.  I have to be away from her Monday, and surgery Tuesday...so I will need a few Monday and only one or two Tuesday because I can still breastfeed after surgery.  And then I need some Friday night, and ALL Saturday day and night.  I have never been away from her for so long.  It will kill me. :(

Fussy Baby!!

Arabella has been amazing...she never fusses...well until this morning...and now tonight...I SWEAR she doesn't even know why she is crying/whining....it's like she enjoys hearing herself cry/whine...ohhh dear lord...and it will be a high pitch, then a wimper...then a sob...with NO tears...sooo I don't know what is going on! (I am not complaining..she is a good baby...I just need some advice...from mom's who have done this before!!!)

I've tried it all...holding her, swing, feeding, changing diapers....the mat, belly time, bouncing, bathing...

ANDDDDD it is not constant....she will just stop...and then start....and then stop....

PLEASE tell me what to do so my non-fussy baby will come back!

1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be? I do not have any talents...lol....I can swim, and it was my occupation for the longest time!  I coached, taught swim lessons, etc.  I miss swimming soooo much!  I have to join a gym with a pool soon...so I don't go crazy!

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods? How about a house in the woods on a lake?  Does that work?  I love the water (see above), and we like the woods, we live in them now! :)

3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?  Yes, Arabella means "answered prayers", we chose this because we were trying for such a long time to have a baby, and she truly answered our prayers :)

4. What is your guilty pleasure? Reading, Swimming, Dove ice-cream bars!

5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened? Always cleaned!  Dave is a FREAK when it comes to it....I am organized, but he even vacuums rooms EVERYDAY that we never use!!
