House AND Baby A

House:

Hiring a contractor...there is so much stuff to get done...

We are rehabing:
  • Siding
  • Doors (interior and exterior)
  • Floors (wood everywhere)
  • Windows (all)
  • Lighting (all)
  • Bathroom (everything...tub, shower, sink, floor, etc)
  • Kitchen (counters, cabinets, appliances)
  •
Now we need estimates WITHIN the next 18 days....WISH US LUCK!
    Baby:

6 months old, new clothes, full head of hair...shots, swim lessons... She stopped sleeping...yeah..as in doesn't sleep through the night...

I am moving her to her own room when we move...yes, no more sleeping with me in my bed...which I will miss desperately.   But,it is a good change.  She will be 9 months old by then...but we are going to start to have her sleeping in her own bed in our room.  Not the co-sleeper, but the pack & play.  I don't know how it will go...but we shall see!

    XOXO,

    I also signed up for a swim club this summer...so we can have a pool to go to {my mom closed her pool last year...so we have no place to go!}

    Here are some pictures!! Enjoy!!

    {disregard me in a bathing suit..and disregard my crazy hair!}

We had a great time!!!  And we can NOT wait to go back! :)

    Wishful Thinking

I named this post "wishful" thinking because I have a list of things that I want to do...but do not know how/why/when things will actually get done!

So here is a list of things that I want to do:
    • Work less...This is a double fold though.  I want to find a job in a classroom, so that I have summers off, snow days off, and holidays...because I want to use my degree that I am still paying for!
    • Get my homework/observations done SOON...and by doing this, I hope to make some contacts in a school district.  Getting my Masters is great.  I miss LawSchool a lot...but I know that I will be home more with my children (yes, I said children...no I am not pregnant...but I will be again someday).
    • Make baby food.  And RESEARCH baby food.  I want to make sure that I am doing it the correct way, that I am buying the correct food maker...or processor?! UGH!
    • I want to start giving A solids.  WHAT AND HOW AND WHEN!?  We have started some tasting.  She has had carrots, peas, greenbeans, applesauce, pears, squash...and those were just tastes.  Am I doing this right?  When do I start supplementing this?
    • Co-Sleeping...I want to continue.  I have been getting some negativity towards this.  I love her with me.  In the bed with me.  Next to the bed.  In our room.  BUT Dave wants her to be in her own room.  I don't.  It is a huge argument.  I will put her in her pack-and-play in our room...but he is nervous that she will roll over...UGH!
    • More reviews/giveaways!  I have tons I have to do!  I am so excited!  BUT HOW DO YOU DO IT?  I don't know how to manage all of my time!
    • Go on a vacation! Of course we would bring the baby with us!  But I am not sure if I am going to book one now or later.....WHICH falls into..the NEXT bullet point...
    • We want to move!  We own a condo and rent it out to someone, and we currently live in a beautiful home now...but we want a bigger backyard.  We want to put a pool in.  We want to put a fence up for the dogs to run around free!  SO we are house searching...so do I book a great extravagant vacation or we could do a weekend here or there...JUST not sure what to do!

    XOXO,

    CSN Stores Review

CSN is widely known in this blogosphere!  I have done a givewawya for them beofre, and they contacted me again about doing a review!   CSN Stores is a collection of over 250 retailers offering basically anything that you would ever need from baby equipment, houehold goods, home decor to shoes {a womens bestfriend}.

CSN has great customer service, and not only do they try to make your shopping 100% enjoyable {seriously, there is so much to see...SO many stores}, they really care for their customers.

For my review I decided to use my gift code to get the Baby Play and Sound Mat.  Arabella is a rolling machine now!  She loves interactive toys, mirrors to look at herself...and yes...with rollng comes the ever more need to have a soft surface to land on while tumbling through the living room!

This Mat came with 9 different colored tiles (almost like huge puzzle pieces), with really cool border pieces as well!   The Mat omes in tons of different colors (yellow, orange, green, blue, red and purple), and tons of animal/insect pieces, mirror and even a sound tile piece!

Checkout was easy with Paypal!  And before I knew it, the mat was at my door!!!!  It shipped so soon!  And package was in a really nice plastic bag (so no pieces were ruined while shipping)!

I am very VERY happy to report that I will be using CSN stores again for  many of my other online purchases!

    XOXO,

I was provided a gift code from CSN Stores for the purpose of purchasing a product to review.

    Sickies & 5qFriday

    Sickies!

I have been MIA...I am sorry! I need to get better so I can post more and comment more on other blogs! We are all sick here in the E house!

    • A has a runny nose...crying...and basically is just 'danger' baby...
    • Dave has a cough...and is miserable
    • I am all around sick...
BUT I still have to trudge on! OT today, MTEL exam tomorrow...and clean my house before my mother gets here to watch the baby while I take my test so damn early!

    1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school?  No...she is only 5 months old...so give it a few months! LOL

    2. Where did you go on your very first date? (Like...first first, not first with your spouse or current significant other!)  I didn't have a first REAL date until I started dating my husband (and that date was amazingly wonderful.  I felt like a princess, like a beauty queen, special, etc).  BUT when I was a sophomore my EX boyfriend and I were set up for his junior prom.  SO I guess that is the date?  I didn't know him, he didn't know me.  We dated after that for a few years!  We were even dance partners (I used to dance West Coast Swing, along with many other things....)!  It was fun, I was young.  I then met my husband!

    3. What's your "silly" fear? (We're not talking water and heights.)  I don't really have a silly fear.  I am afraid of walking up the stairs at the InLaws....it is awfully scary...their house is "haunted" and before I even knew it was...I felt eerie walking up the stairs...

    4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with is as it comes, or run far far away?  A little of all!  I usually speak up when I feel that I need to...but other than that I let it go...Dave says that I usually don't speak up when I should...and that I speak out at the wrong times...whoops...LOL

    5. Wood floors or carpet?  In the condo that we own but rent out we have the most beautiful wood floors...and carpet just in the bedroom.  BUT where we are now we have berber carpets and tile floors.
