How I caved....

I tried to teach Dave the life long lesson of...if you clean it...please fold it!  I can not keep up all of the time..and your clothes don't just appear nicely folded and on hangers or in your cabinets!  I am the one who does it!  With my clothes and her clothes...towels, rugs, dog blankets and then HIS clothes....I just have a hard time.  So I asked for help.  WELL....this was my closet before I caved today.  For the last two weeks I have not folded ANY laundry (other than A's).  I just opened up my walk-in closet and dumped the clothes.  

 

I knew that I was starting to cave when I started to sort it...and then start to fold my own clothes...and then...yes...today I opened up the closet and couldn't do it anymore!  I am not good at this!  How will I EVER teach A a lesson if I cave so quick! ...Two weeks was A LIFETIME!

{and yes...I have a HUGE beanbag in my closet...as well as A HUGE mirror and my ironing board!

New Blog Name?

An email....

That is all it takes to make you feel bad. All it takes to make you cringe. I got an email...it mentioned my two year old. I was fine, I was happy, I was busy, but I felt like I was just punched in the gut.

It has been a great year. I am a mom. I love my daughter. I can hold her in my arms and snuggle. But it still doesn't mean that mentioning the loss of a pregnancy doesn't hurt.

I am a strong person. I am ok. I can show others in a similar situation that you can move on but never forget. I will be strong, and I will go cuddle with my miracle.

A change

I think....no I know a change is happening. I used to love to blog. I used to vent, have fun, and even made some great friendships blogging. But it has been to hard to blog. I have let my blog "go". This needs to change. I need to fix this! I will be back to blogging but need things to change for a bit...I am still me but a new me.

With this comes patience. I want to be a better writer and reader. I want to connect to my readers not just post and never acknowledge them. I miss the comments, the reading about yous, and even witty banter between some of you!

So, I will be posting again...and soon!!

My Coupon Deals {5.1-5.7}

Today I did a CAT deal at S&S (Stop and Shop).  It was "buy three hallmark cards get $5 back"!  

I bought: 

• 6 packages of brownies (dark chocolate lover)
• 6 2Liter Sodas (2 MT.Dew, 2 Gingerale, 2 Rootbeers)
• 6 Tooth brushes
• 1 Package of Pampers (24 pack)
• 1 container of 2 Avent pacifiers (A's favorite are the 0-3 month ones that dip below the nose)
• 1 6 pack of Charmin Ultra Strong
• 3 Boxes of Cereal (All favorites of ours)
• 3 Cans of Hunts Tomato Sauce (3 for $.86...normally 1 for $1)
• 2 Cans of Pantene Pro-V Hair Spray
• 4 Boxes of Puffs Plus with Lotion

Total before savings: $132.27 and after the card deal.... I spent oop $38.80. I got 42 cards!

My Coupon Deals {4.24- 4.30}

Dave and I shop at BJ's WholeSale Club for items such as papertowels, and disposable diapers.  I do cloth, but part time because when she is with my momsie or Dave (while I am at work) it makes it easier for them!

This week at BJ's I bought Pampers 132 count for $36.99 (before coupon price).  I had a BJ's Pampers Manufacture coupon for $5.00 and then I had a manufacture coupon from P&G for $7.00.  This is not a huge savings, but $12.00 off is good enough for me!  {If there is a better deal I usually shop for them at Wal-Mart because Dave gets 10% off, but this was the better deal when we needed them}.

At Shaws I did the CAT {Catalina} deal for Baby Products, and also for P&G Products {proctor and gamble}.  The CAT deal is spend so much and get money back...this week for baby was spend $30 get $10.  And for P&G it was spend $20 get $5.   You have to buy the items listed for the CAT deal to actually get to the $20.  AND you need to make sure that you don't use the sale price listed in the ad.  YOU want to make sure you go and see what the pre-sale prices are before you buy them.

The first deal was the Baby items.  I bought 4 Pampers Sensitive Refill Wipes (132 count), They were normally $11.99.  I had to spend $30.  SO $30 divided by 11.99 equals: 2.5 SO I NEEDED to buy 3 to get to $30, but I had 4 coupons, so I bought 4. They were $44.96 BEFORE sales and Coupons. They were on sale for $8.99, with my Q (coupons), my store discount card, my $2 off $25 Shaws printable Q.  After all of my savings of $13.00 I spent only $28.96.  (not the best, but they are the best wipes...so a deal is a deal to me).  I then got a $10.00 off print out that I then used for my next deal!  I then got $5.00 in free RedBox movies.  This was not my best deal of the day.

My best was: For 3 Gillette Razors (The razor and two cartridges) and 2 32pack Cascade packets with my Q, in-store Q, store card, dollar doubler, and $2 off of $25 I only had to OOP (out of pocket) $1.97. 


With sales, deals, and regular groceries...I paid $71.26 OOP.  AND my SAVINGS was $122.67.  I have 25 FREE Red Box rentals....as well as $5 off the next time I shop! :)

I am just starting out....but I am super excited to be buying things for less than half of what I should!  I will NOT be like the people on #ExtremeCouponing....I will only be buying things that I need!
