After speaking to at least 10 women in serious relationships I see a split down the middle of people who are still mushy gushy and those like me who can't remember my last make-out session. We kiss, but not the whole if I don't kiss you all night I'll die fest!
Is it time? Or lack of time? Length of years together? Familiarity? Laziness?
We still hold hands while driving and and are intimate but why aren't we still smitten!?
Andy and I are the same. We don't really do the hold hands thing. I think it's just the fact that we've been together for so long. We're still intimate....a lot, but other then that. We just don't have time for the other stuff. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe "smitten" feeling gives way to comfort and familiarity. The time when your heart used to race and your palms used to sweat just thinking about your boyfriend is also considered the most crucial time in a relationship - you may succeed or the relationship may go south.

It also depends on your mental state - you *can* bring about the same reaction if you train your mind a bit. I had to do that too! LOL! :)
No, we aren't the make out types...I guess we never really were! We hold hands...will hug but we are certainly not that lovee dovee couple.
