Allergies and a horrrrrible doctors appointment

I will be changing primary care doctors very very soon. I have really horrible allergies this year. And well, going to the dr did not do anything except ruin nap time, cause a major meltdown over wearing our coat, some glaring looks about said melt down and a doctor who just had a baby 2 months ago look at me like I was a horrible parent because my kid was crying.

First off I don't care if anyone looks at me like I'm crazy if A is having a meltdown! If you're a parent then you know what it's like so I know you won't stare. If you aren't a parent and plan of having kids you will get it soon enough. Trust me the whole "that will never be my child" doesn't work. It will be your child.

Second, what the heck am I suppose to do? What do you do when your child had a full out tantrum when your in public? Experienced parents please let me know.

And third...my doctor has crossed me for the third time. She has no bedside manners. And well, I like a doctor that is straight to the point but needs to not be as abrasive. Make sense? With all the we've been through don't call me a habitual aborter. Yeah it is the technical term for reoccurring d&e and d&c's but to say it to my face is a bit much. We had losses. Losses we have been heartbroken about. Let's not rub it in our faces now.

So yeah...fun doctors appt. Now I'm off to watch Beauty and the Beast with A!

Wish me luck finding a new primary care physician!

  1. Wow! Your Dr said habitual aborter to your face??? I think I may have slapped them!!! I'm sorry that is terrible.

Allergies have been so bad for us to. I think you are in the NE like us. Poor Addy has them so bad.

And it's too funny you mention thinking that will never be my kid. I'll be honest, I thought it. Boy was I mistaken.

  2. Haha! You nailed it. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do to stop a full blown tantrum. I'm with Dawn, shoulda slapped her. What a terrible person, nevermind doctor.

  3. Go slap that dr! That's not right!!
Chloe hasn't had a "meltdown" per say, but she has gone a little mad out in public. Nothing that letting her run around didn't help though. So that's good. I'm sure we will experience it soon enough though.
